When We Create


Culture 2 Create is a community, organized to assist young aspiring artists in gaining professional experience in production through creative exploration and collaboration. We create meaningful content, host events, and service artists by showcasing their stories, talents, and art.

Just a Place 2 Create

A Collaborative Production

 This free, collaborative filmmaking event provides hands-on experience in camera operation, basic light set ups, sound recording, scriptwriting, directing, acting, producing, set design, and more. In just 5 hours, participants develop and film short stories, gaining valuable skills for the film industry and building their creative portfolios.

The team from one of our events created a short film addressing the issues young Black men face in the community while also celebrating and uplifting Black men.

"Just a Place 2 Create" places a strong emphasis on building a unified community, with participants engaging in peer-to-peer learning and collaborating to create stories that not only showcase their talents but also have the potential to address local issues.

Event Films

Culture 2 Create is deeply committed to endorsing diversity and representation at all levels of our organization. We are proud that 100% of our board, executive team, and staff identify as Black, Latinx, or people of color. This diversity ensures a deep understanding of the needs and experiences of the young creatives we serve.  Furthermore, 70% of our board members are currently pursuing higher education in film and the creative arts, bringing fresh perspectives and knowledge to our organization.

Uniquely, our team is a collective of passionate individuals who discovered Culture 2 Create as participants in our events. Through their dedication and acquired skills, they took the initiative to lead workshops, mentor new attendees, and ultimately contribute to the organization's growth. Many of our team members also have personal experience working in the film industry, further enriching the knowledge and skills we offer to young artists.
